This Apprenticeship is for ambitious people who are new to finance or want to expand and develop their foundation knowledge and skills for a successful career in the sector. By taking the Apprenticeship, you can achieve a formal Accountancy qualification while gaining hands on Accountancy skills and experience in the workplace. You will learn a range of core Accountancy practices and techniques, from costing and double entry book-keeping to computerised accounting.
You need a Level 2 AAT qualification, to be over 18 and have an A Level in Accounting or to be experienced in double entry book-keeping. You will also need a suitable work placement.
Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship, the natural progression is to the part-time Level 4 AAT Diploma in Accounting or a related Higher Apprenticeship. As well as further training, you can apply for roles such as Accounts Assistant, Credit Control Clerk, Accounts Clerk or Finance Assistant.
