This Apprenticeship aims to help you gain the workplace skills and experience you need for a successful career in Carpentry. It covers the installation of first and second fix components such as windows and doors, the erection of structural carcassing, maintenance of tools and equipment and health and safety in the work environment. You will also gain site management skills and develop your knowledge of bespoke work.
You should have at least English, Maths and Science GCSE grade D (or equivalent) and a work placement. Applications from students who have completed the Level 1 Carpentry course will be considered. If you already have some carpentry experience and work in the industry, then this will also be taken into consideration.
When you successfully complete this Apprenticeship, you will be a qualified tradesperson and able to work in the industry.
