This Apprenticeship will give you the workplace skills and experience needed for a successful career in Carpentry. It will cover the installation of first and second fix components such as windows and doors, the erection of structural carcassing, maintenance of tools and equipment and health and safety in the work environment.
You should have at least English, Maths and Science GCSEs at grade D or above or equivalent qualifications. You also need a suitable work placement. Applications form students who have completed the Level 1 Carpentry course are welcomed. If you already have some carpentry experience and work in the industry, this will also be taken into consideration.
After successfully completing this course, you can progress on to the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) Wood Occupations.
