An Engineering Apprenticeship will give you the necessary knowledge and hands-on experience to follow a career in your chosen area of the Engineering sector. You will gain the skills, knowledge and experience you need for a successful career in your chosen specialism. Yeovil College currently offers Engineering Apprenticeships in Machining, Maintenance and Fabrication and Welding. Your choice will depend on your job role and employer.
There will be a trip to the Mach 15 exhibition.
You need four GCSEs at A* to C, including Maths and English and a demonstrable interest in Engineering. You should have successfully completed a Level 1 Performing Engineering Operations qualification to a high standard and been approved by your tutor to progress to this course. You also need a suitable work placement.
Assessment Materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - £75.
When you successfully complete this Intermediate Apprenticeship, you can apply for an Advanced Apprenticeship in a specialist area of Engineering.
