This Apprenticeship is designed for people working in the restaurant sector of the Hospitality industry. During the course, you will learn, develop and practice the skills required for a successful career in the restaurant environment. You will need to be working in a suitable placement for the duration of this Apprenticeship and your training will be divided between work and College.
There are a variety of trips during this course, including visits to local trade shows, food producers and the Hotel Olympia.
You need a good level of English and Maths and, ideally, GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above. You also need to be working in the Food & Beverage Service sector for the duration of the Apprenticeship. If you are not already in post, you need to have an offer of a suitable position before the start of your course.
You are encouraged to buy a recommended textbook to support your studies. A uniform is normally supplied by your employer.
On successful completion of this Apprenticeship, you can progress to a Level 3 qualification, such as the Advanced Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision & Leadership, which would prepare you for employment in a supervisory role.
