This Apprenticeship is for people who work in the Hospitality industry and have a variety of duties, encompassing food production support, food and beverage service, housekeeping and general customer service. You can take units across a range of services, focussing on either a preparation and cooking or non-cooking pathway. You choices will depend on your job role and employer.
There are a variety of trips during this course, including visits to local trade shows, food producers and the Hotel Olympia.
You need a good level of English and Maths and ideally GCSE English and Maths at grade C. You need to be working in the Hospitality Services industry for the duration of your Apprenticeship.
Following this course, further training at a higher level and additional work experience, you can progress towards a more senior role in the Hospitality industry. In the long term, if you would like to run your own business or take a managerial position, you might like to consider complementary courses in Business or Management.
