The Level 2 Apprenticeship will help you develop your skills and knowledge ready to work in the Motor Vehicle industry as a Level 2 Motor Mechanic. You will learn both the practice and theory you need to service and repair light vehicles in a commercial setting. Areas covered include engine units, electrical units, chassis components and transmission units.
You need GCSE English and Maths at grade 9 - 4 (A* - C) or equivalent and a proven interest in Vehicle Maintenance. You will need a suitable work placement. Your application will be subject to an initial interview and assessment.
When you successfully complete this Apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for Level 2 Motor Mechanic jobs. If you would like to work at a more senior level, you can continue your training with an Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
You need to provide basic stationery, including an A4 file, paper, pens, a calculator and maths set (including ruler). You are encouraged to buy the recommended course textbook.
