A ground-breaking, innovative partnership between South Somerset District Council and Yeovil College will launch sixteen, free, sponsored university-level spaces in Business and management. The HNC/HND in Business will provide you with an excellent understanding of a wide range of advanced business and management skills. The course will develop a variety of knowledge, skills and behaviours which embed the broad spectrum of attributes that employer’s look for in their employees when considering succession and career planning.

The areas of specialism include: Marketing, Communication, IT, Business Accounting, Business Law, Customer Care and People Management.

The diverse nature of the course will ensure that people are equipped with the knowledge and qualifications to have a greater impact on productivity in their chosen career path. The programme is designed to be delivered at an achievable and realistic pace for people who are juggling the commitment of the ‘day job’ with working towards higher level qualifications to advance their career.

After the first 2 years there is a stepping off point which will allow learners to graduate finish the programme with the HNC or continue into the third year to achieve the full HND.

On completion of the HND, you will have the opportunity to work towards a full degree qualification (level 6) with a final top-up year based at Yeovil College. The fees for this final year will be governed by the relevant University (University of Gloucestershire) and paid through the student loan process.
