Exploring the Care Sectors - Level 1


Introduction to this course

This programme is a great introduction to the sector and will help prepare you to work in a range of care provisions covering from birth and early years to older people. We investigate health care, social care and children’s services.

Entry Requirements

You will need four GCSEs at grade E - F, including English and maths. Previous work experience in the care sector is desirable.

Career Prospects

The qualification can lead to studying health and social care at Level 2 with progression to a Level 3 study programme in either childcare & education or health & social care.



How will I be assessed?

Your progress will be assessed through assignment work, activity demonstrations and film and voice recordings.
