Plumbing Studies - (Trainee/Intermediate Trainee)


Introduction to this course

This study programme is designed to give you the practical skills and knowledge to work in the plumbing industry. The majority of your learning will take place in our well-equipped, practical workshops, with specialist topics covered in our dedicated Plumbing classroom.


You will explore topics including pipe joining and installation of hot and cold water supply, Health and Safety in the workplace and drainage and sanitation.

Entry Requirements

Trainee - You will need four GCSEs at grade 2 (E) or above, including English and maths.

Intermediate Trainee - You will need four GCSE at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and maths and a trainee qualification in Plumbing Studies or appropriate practical experience.


Duration of this Course

This course is a one year course starting in September.



Career Prospects

On successful completion, you can progress on to an Apprenticeship in Plumbing and with further training you will be ready for a career in the plumbing industry.



How will I be Assessed?

Assessment is via a range of practical assignments, multiple choice end-of-unit tests and a final online testing of knowledge.
