This practical study programme enables you to gain a range of core skills needed for a successful career in Creative Digital Media Production. You will learn to make a variety of media productions including film trailers, radio shows and podcasts, using state-of-the-art digital equipment and software. In addition to classroom lectures, visiting speakers and discussions, you will be able to develop practical work and visit media-related industries.

You will need four GCSEs at grade D - E, including maths and grade D or above in English.
This is a one year, full-time course. Enrolment is only in September.
Many students progress to the Level 3 Creative Digital Media Production programme. You can also apply for further training or employment in related areas such as TV, video, print and broadcast journalism, film making and marketing.
You will be continually assessed throughout the year. Practical projects will form the bulk of assessment alongside theory-based essays. There are two written exams (Digital Media Sectors and Audiences, and Media Industry in Context).

Materials - Approximately £30. This covers the use of DV tapes and mini disks during filming and production, as well as blank DVDs for the final work. Trips fund - £25.
