Are you a college leaver hoping to start a career in Accountancy or someone who wants to re-train in Accountancy? Do you already have practical accounting experience but no formal qualifications? Then this course may be suitable for you. The AAT Certificate (Level 2) is a professional course for students who wish to obtain an accounting qualification. It includes five modules covering topics such as bookkeeping transactions, basic costings and computerised accounting. It is sponsored by three main accountancy bodies and is a nationally recognised qualification.

This course is an open entry, but you must be confident in English and Mathematics. You may be asked to attend an interview. Confidence in English and Maths is desirable.
This is a one year course (30 weeks).
2017/18 classes are 10am to 2:30pm every Friday staring from 22/09/2017.
This course is suitable for school leavers who wish to pursue a career in accountancy, people who are looking to retrain in accountancy or those who have practical accounting experience but no formal accountancy qualifications. It is essential that you gain practical accounting experience. Having successfully completed the Level 2 qualification, the natural progression is to the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.
You will sit examinations on a computer. You will need to achieve 70% in each module to pass.
You will learn through lectures, but you will be actively encouraged to join in and to contribute using your own accounting knowledge and work experience.
