This one year qualification is designed for Exercise and Fitness Instructors who are capable of planning, delivering and evaluating a series of sessions independently. You will use the theoretical aspects to plan and deliver a range of fitness-based programmes. This is a Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) recognised qualification. Alongside this course, you will also enhance your coaching and leadership ability.

You need a range of GCSEs at C to F grade, a minimum of a Level 1 English qualification and proven coaching or leadership experience. Experience training in a gym environment and coaching is desirable.
This is a one year course. This is a bespoke programme. Enrol and start anytime.
Following successful completion of this course, you can progress to a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training or employment in the industry.
You will be assessed in a realistic working environment in Fitness Instruction. Students produce a portfolio of evidence, including underpinning knowledge questions, assessment feedback and written statements.

Unit 3: Reflect on and Develop own practice in providing Exercise and Physical Activity
Unit 4: Principles of Exercise, Fitness and Health
Unit 5: Promote Health, Safety and Welfare in Active Leisure and Recreation
Unit 6: Plan and Prepare Gym-based Exercise
Unit 7: Instruct and Supervise Gym-based Exercise
