Learning Resource CentreThe Learning Resource Centre at Yeovil College has a large and welcoming library to support students on all levels of study. There are over 20,000 books, e-books and journals; as well as an exceptional range of online databases for all students to access both in college and at home. The Learning Resource Centre has 70 computers and plenty of study desks with full wifi access. The Learning Resource Centre staff are available to help and support students with research support, IT support and printing.
Opening times during term time:
Monday-Thursday 8.30am-6pm, Friday 8.30am-5pm
The Centre is open 9am-4.30pm during half term and Easter holidays.
Staff & Support
In addition learners on Higher Education or University level courses are supported within the large Quiet Study Area, which is also staffed during term time and has 40 computers and large group work pods.
The Learning Resource Assistants are a recognised point of contact for students needing help to find supporting resources for assignments and dissertations.

Delivery of sessions from the tutorial programme to develop sound information and research skills, including searching the library catalogue, using e-books, referencing and database searching
Finding and adding suitable resources to Moodle, the college Virtual Learning Environment.

Identifying, highlighting and purchasing a variety of suitable resources in a variety of media to support the range of courses offered
