Travelling to Yeovil College
County Ticket

The County Ticket is an annual bus pass that runs the duration of the academic year (from 1 September until 31 August). You can travel on one return journey a day to and from College.

To apply you need to be:

  • Aged 16 and over
  • Attending further education
  • Attending College as part of a work based learning programme

It’s recommended that you apply as soon as possible as the County Tickets are issued on a first come first serve basis. This year students were asked to return their applications before 9 August so their passes were available at the beginning of term.

For more information and to apply you can click here or call 0845 345 9155 (Monday to Friday 8am-6pm or Saturday 9am-4pm)

If you are unable to use public transport due to a disability, special need or medical problem you may still get assistance. You will need to register your interest with Somerset County Council on 0845 345 9155.

If you’ve lost your bus pass you can apply for a replacement here at a cost of £10.

However, Somerset County Council will only replace it once. If you lose it a second time and you are paying by instalments you will still have to make the repayments even if you no longer hold the bus pass.

The only way to get another County Ticket is to pay for a new one.

The ticket is valid on all journeys that start and/or terminate within the administrative borders of Somerset and on cross border routes from neighbouring counties and Bristol. It will not cover journeys wholly outside Somerset.
