Diploma in Barbering - Level 3 (Evening)
Course Overview
This course is designed for people aged 19 or older who are considering a career in Barbering. This course will take place in person at Yeovil College and will be delivered one evening per week for the whole academic year. The course will focus on you being able to further develop your skills and knowledge from Level 2 Barbering. You will learn more precise consultation and hair cutting techniques whilst developing your existing barbering and beard shaping skills. You will learn how to colour and lighten hair, as well as perming hair and will also learn how to carry out a basic shaving service. During the course you will have the opportunity to complete additional units that will enhance your skills and knowledge.

Our Lecturers
Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching will be through a mixture of practical and theory-based sessions. For your practical elements, you will need to source models for your assessments in each technique.
You will also be required to complete self-directed study for your theory based assignment work and to embed your knowledge prior to your exam.
Course Expenses
The cost of this course is £3,345. You will also need to purchase kit and uniform from £390 and have the opportunity to attend educational visits and training for additional costs.

How Will I Be Assessed
Entry Requirements
This course requires a previous qualification of Barbering Level 2 Certificate or NVQ Diploma at Level 2.
A good level of written English, so we ask for applicants to hold either a GCSE in English at grade C / 4, or an equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2).
