Skills Bootcamp in Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Repair and Replacement
Course Overview
The Skills Bootcamp contains two mandatory units EV2.2 and EV3 and covers
skills in;
Working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicles,
Using
information to carry out the task,
Carrying out repairs on high energy
electrical systems,
Recording information and making suitable
recommendations.
As a result, technicians successfully completing this qualification will acquire significant core knowledge and skills, and the ability to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle high voltage components.

After The Course
Throughout the 12-week programme, each learner will also take part in bespoke employability sessions preparing you for interviews and recruitment events with our industry partners, giving you the opportunity to network and connect with employers looking for these skills.
Yeovil College works closely with Industry around the South West and will provide employment opportunities through our partners and from Job Searches.
It is important for you to actively look for job roles that are of interest to you also.
Unemployed: This course will provide you with a great introduction to the sector and support you to increase your potential to apply for roles in the local job market. After finishing this course, you could decide to take additional courses in this sector for example, progress onto an Apprenticeship in this field.
Self-employed: this course will provide you with the skills to support the growth of your business, from increasing traffic to your website/social media and increasing sales.
Employed/Employer referred: this course will equip you with the skills to support you with progression within your current job.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching and learning is designed to support all students to achieve. There will be a combination of tutor-led sessions and practical sessions. You will have the opportunity to complete hands-on practical activities, allowing you to put knowledge into practice!
As an adult learner at Yeovil College, you will be able to access a range of support and services, including our dedicated Learning Resource Centre, a wealth of resources from our team of expert careers advisors, and a range of wellbeing support.
In addition, you will be supported by a dedicated Careers Advisor who will support you from start to finish to ensure you gain the intended successful outcome.

Course Expenses
If you are unemployed, self-employed or in employment then the Skills Bootcamp is fully funded and free to you IF you meet the eligibility criteria.
If you are employed in a related career and looking to upskill to support a new role or opportunities then your employer can send existing employees on the course and will receive a discount ranging from 10% - 30%, depending on the size of the company.
How Will I Be Assessed
Including exams to pass the IMI Level 3 Qualification.
Entry Requirements
There are four eligible routes into a Skills Bootcamp
- Self-referral.
- Self-employed.
- Unemployed.
- Employer referred.

Self-referral (fully funded)
Be aged 19+ Have the right to live and work in the UK. Provide evidence that by using the skills developed traffic to your website/social media has increased. Study one bootcamp from the consortium Need to commit to attending 6 hours of study and additional self-study each week.Unemployed (fully funded)
