Course Overview
This free, online, fully accredited level 2 course is designed for anyone who may support someone with, or for anyone with an interest in understanding behaviour that challenges.
This course will help you to develop and hone techniques to de-escalate situations, improve your effective communication skills and understand the reasons, triggers or causes of behaviour that challenges.
The course is delivered via Teams, so you will need access to a suitable device, private space to learn, and good internet connection for these weekly sessions.

Understand how to support positive behaviour
Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges
Understand the role of reflection and support for those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
Teaching and learning is designed to support all students to achieve. There are a mixture of online theory-based sessions and small and large group practical discussions.

Course Expenses
For students aged 19 and over, this course will be available free of charge, dependent upon your nationality and residency status.
The course is free of charge for UK nationals and those who have pre-settled or settled status or other right of abode, who have lived in the UK for the last three years. How Will I Be Assessed
Entry Requirements
This course requires a good level of written English, so we ask for applicants to hold either a GCSE in English at grade C / 4, or an equivalent (e.g. Functional Skills Level 2).

There are no other specific prior skills or knowledge a learner must have to apply for this qualification.
